For over thirty years, the Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines and Emissions (CAFEE) at West Virginia University has been a world leader in the measurement and control of heavy-duty mobile source exhaust emissions and alternative fuels research. As you may have already heard, during February 2022, Energy Environmental Analytics (E2A), completed its acquisition of the West Virginia University Center for Alternative Fuels Engines and Emissions (WVU CAFEE).

First things first: E2A will continue to provide state-of-the-art emissions testing and analysis. Now operating as E2A, the team brings a wealth of engineering expertise and experience in engine and vehicle performance to the stakeholders of the transportation and energy sectors.

A key component of the acquisition was the retention of the staff and technical experts that oversaw and produced the high-quality testing over the last three decades. We are pleased to announce that we have retained all employees during this transaction and our operations will continue to be led by Dan Carder, Director of Operations.

E2A is thrilled to continue to maintain a strong relationship with West Virginia University through collaboration on innovation and special projects for years to come.
